Contest Rocketry

Pittsburgh Space Command is home to some of the top competitors in the hobby. We are fortunate to have some of the best in all four divisions of competition from our youngsters in A Division to the adults in C Division. We are home to a couple of B Division National Champions and The Flying I-Beam Kids are a consistant contender (and sometimes winner) for the National Championship in Team Division. Our proud tradition in contest rocketry has recently seen a few competitors moving on to international competition with the USA Spacemodeling Team and the World FAI Championships.

Club members will be hosting two regional contests this year and many of us will be attending the nationals at NARAM 60 in Pueblo, Colorado in August 2018. The Carl McLawhorn Memorial Fly-Off contest will be hosted by PSC on our home field at the Weber Farm on October 13 and 14.

Come join us in some friendly competition or bring a few sport rockets and come check it out. We have a lot of fun.
